1893 Sep 15 - Sallie's brother, James Dillon Anglin, dies at the age 21 from typhoid fever. Sallie is 12.
1897 Nov 14 - Sallie marries Green Clay "GC" of Ino, Kentucky. She is 16 years old. GC is 5 years older than Sallie.

1898 Nov 7 - Sallie gives birth to Roy Green Hoskins. Sallie is 17.
Her son, Roy Green, dies about four months later.
1900 Mar 7 - Sallie gives birth to Lloyd Goble Hoskins. Sallie is 19.
1902 Mar 28 - Sallie gives birth to Joyce Edith Hoskins. Sallie is 21.
1904 May 23 - GC Hoskins dies after being struck by lightning while working on a house in Berea Ky., leaving Sallie a widow at age 23. Sallie is pregnant at the time of her husband's death, but the child, Louise Hoskins, dies a few days after birth.

1916 May 23 - Sallie is divorced from Joseph Warren Hall in Madison County, Kentucky. Her husband is the defendant. Sallie is 35 years old.
1921 - Sallie's son, Thomas, leaves home at the age of 13 to go out West.

1925 - Sallie works at the Berea College Hospital as a cook and dietitian.
1925 - Sallie works at Massie School in Versailles, Kentucky for about two years. During this time, her son Harry attends school there. Sallie is the overseer of kitchen, pantry, and linen closet.
1926 - Sallie works as Linen Room Woman for the Lafayette Hotel in Lexington, Kentucky.
1927 - Sallie works at Eastern State Hospital in Lexington as a nurse who "cares for patients".
1927 Sep 14 - Sallie takes out a life insurance policy on herself naming her sons, Harry and John, as beneficiaries. She lists her height as 5 feet 7 inches and weight as 150 pounds.
1928 - Sallie lives at 105 1/2 Barr Street, Lexington, Kentucky.

1930 - Sallie operates a business at 917 Cramer Avenue, Apt. #2, Lexington, Kentucky. The business is called the "Swedish Massage & Bath Parlor" and specializes in reducing methods and internal baths (enemas). Sallie is 49 years old.
19?? - Sallie moves the business to 154 East Short Street, Room 3, Arcade Building, Lexington, Kentucky.
1935 Jan 1 - Sallie's sister, Nancy Jane, dies at the age of 61. Nancy was born on New Year's day and died on New Year's day.
1935 - Sallie works as a practical nurse at the Lexington Clinic in Lexington, Kentucky.
1935 - Sallie takes care of the ailing Senator Thomas A. Combs for 15 months prior to his death. Sallie is 54 years old.
Combs, Thomas A. (1868 - 1935) Lumber Merchant and State Senator. Thomas A. Combs was born on the family's farm in Breathitt County, Kentucky during 1868 and by 1889 began clerking at his father's general store and sawmill. During 1893, Senator Combs came to Lexington and founded the Combs Lumber Company, serving as the firm's President until his death. In 1903, he was elected Mayor of the City of Lexington and in 1907 a State Senator. He served as a State Senator for the next twenty-four years. He suffered a stroke in 1932, which curtailed his activities. Senator Combs was a director of the Fayette National Bank from 1905 to 1931, Security Trust Company from 1924 to 1933, and Cleveland Federal Reserve System. He was also a director and large stockholder of the Combs Lumber Company, Lexington Telephone Company, Swiss Oil Company (later Ashland Oil), Marian Coal Company and Lexington Water Works. 1939 - per Lexington City Directory, Sallie lives at 217 1/2 North Limestone.

1944 Feb - Sallie sees Thomas, her son, for the last time when he visits her and his brother, Harry, at the apartment on North Limestone. Eleven years later, Thomas recalls his mother, during that visit, looking East out the apartment windows. He quotes his "Mama", in a birthday card to his brother Harry, as saying "So, until our ship comes in...".
1944 - Sallie's son, Harry, is transferred to Miami, Florida for U.S. Navy duty.
1944 Oct 19 - Sallie dies at the age of 63. She is residing at 217 1/2 North Limestone, Lexington, Kentucky at the time of her death. Her funeral is handled by Kerr Brothers. She is buried in Hillcrest Cemetery on Versailles Road in Lexington, Kentucky.
This story of Sallie's life is patched together from numerous cards & letters
sent to Sallie Anglin from her three sons, Thomas, John and Harry Hall. There
were postcards and greetings for Mothers Day, Christmas, Thanksgiving,
Easter, Halloween, Saint Patrick's and Valentines Day and many Birthdays.
Included with the cards & letters from her sons, several letters to Sallie from JW
Hall, many legal documents, letters of reference and newspaper clippings were also used. Some dates
were found in the Anglin family historical log and others in Sallie's Family
Bible.
