The following information was transcribed from a carbon copy of a hand- written document given to me by Nettie Murray Hall of 409 North Jackson Street, Campbellsville, Kentucky 42718 during June 1992. I have added information from "A Century of Wayne County Kentucky 1800-1900" by Augusta Phillips Johnson, published in 1939 by The Standard Printing Company in Louisville, Kentucky. The additions are enclosed in boxes as are any personal notations. Joseph Warren Hall, mentioned below, is my paternal grandfather.
Sarah N. Hall

    John Hall, born in Old Virginia, married Rachel Hopkins, daughter of
    James Hopkins, on May  25 or 28, 1795.  They had six sons and two
    daughters, listed below:

        |   An inscription on Marshall's tomb was signed "Sister Susie".

        | Marcus L. Hall, born November 17, 1829?, died September 2, 1864?.

        and Frances (Jones) Mills.

        |Mary Mills, daughter of Milton Mills and Frances Jones, married    
        |Dr. John Hall.  Frances Jones is the fourth child of James Jones   
        |and Mary Buster.  Frances is a sister of Juan Jones.               
        |Frances, Juan, Mary, and Sarah (Sally) Jones also had a sister,    
        |Jane, who married first Hannibal Clemens, uncle of Mark Twain      
        |(Samuel Clemens) and had a son, Dr. John M. Clemens.

        |Dr. Walter E. Hall, born 1819 at William Hall's house in Wayne
        |County, married Mary Mills on August 28, 1854, when she was 21
        |years old in Wayne County.  Dr. Walter E. Hall was a physician and
        |served in the Kentucky House of Representatives for Wayne County
        |from 1853-1855.

 VIII.  William Fletcher Hall, born June 7, 1823 near Monticello, Kentucky
        in Wayne County; died May 5, 1903 near Campbellsville, Kentucky at the
        age of 79 years, 10 months, 28 days; married Irene Frisbie Jones
        McBeath, daughter of John Dunlap McBeath and Sarah (Sallie) Jones, in
        1854.  Irene Frisbie Jones McBeath was born July 24, 1834 near
        Monticello, Kentucky in Wayne County and died April 15, 1905 at the
        age of 70 years, 8 months, 26 days.

        |William Fletcher Hall is buried near Boston (Nelson County), Ky. 
        |According to a letter to him from his son Joseph Warren Hall, 
        |William Fletcher Hall had a blacksmith shop. 
        |According to Nettie Hall, "McBeath" is pronounced "McBeth".       
        |According to Rosemary Shields, "McBeath" is pronounced "McBath".  
        |William Fletcher Hall and Irene Frisbie Jones McBeath are my       
        |Great Grandparents.

        William Fletcher Hall and Irene Frisbie Jones McBeath had the
        following children:
        A.  Joseph Warren Hall, born August 22, 1855 in Monticello, Kentucky;
            died March 14, 1938 in Mount Sterling, Kentucky at the age of 82
            years, 6 months, 20 days.  Married, first, Nannie Mooney; second,
            Georgie Allen; third, Sallie Anglin.

        |Joseph Warren Hall is my Grandfather on my father's side.  Sarah   
        |(Sallie) Anglin, his third wife, was my Grandmother. He may have had
        |a fourth wife named Ann.  Per a 1920 census record of Bath County, Ky.
        |Joseph Warren Hall, 66, a piano tuner, lived there with his wife, Ann,
        |49, born in Ohio.
        |There is a picture of him with a woman and writing on the back 
        |indicating it is his fourth wife in Salt Lick, Kentucky in Bath
        |County.  Joseph Warren Hall is buried in Section One of 
        |the Macpelah Cemetery in Mount Sterling, Kentucky   
        |in Montgomery County.  He had the following children:  
        |From his first marriage to Nannie Loretta Mooney (born March 16, 1862   
        |and died April 26, 1887 at Bardstown Junction (Bullit County), Ky.),   
        |the following three children were born:                                  
        |1. William Bernard Hall, known as "Will", born September 8, 1883 at 
        |   Bardstown Junction (Bullit County), Kentucky.  Will attended      
        |   Centre College, Danville, Kentucky, class of 1902 and married    
        |   Sadie May Rianhard of Hartwell, Ohio (Cincinnati).  Sadie, born  
        |   May 20, 1883 and died June 3, 1954, was the daughter of Harry    
        |   Dubary Rianhard and Sarah Mead Rianhard.  Sadie is buried at the 
        |   Masonic Home Cemetery, Springfield, Ohio.  She entered the       
        |   Masonic home March 17, 1952.  Wills ashes are at Cincinnati      
        |   Crematory.  Will died May 26, 1949.  Will and Sadie were married 
        |   June 19, 1906.  Will was a Sales Representative and owner of     
        |   Macey-Hall Office Furniture - later Hall Office Furniture in     
        |   Cincinnati, Ohio.
        |   Will and Sadie had the following five children:                         
        |   a. Marguerite Louise Hall, born February 4, 1907, married twice   
        |      and had three children.                                         
        |   b. Robert Logan Hall, born April 30, 1908, married Dorothy Ida    
        |      Hennefelt who died in 1997.  Robert and Ida had the following:                                    
        |      ... Nancy Hall who married a Parrish and currently (2000)    
        |          resides at 2791 Goodwin Schoolhouse Road, 
        |          Bethel, Ohio 45106, phone (513) 876-2484.       
        |          Nancy and her husband have four children:  
        |          .... Sharon Parrish.
        |          .... Tim Parrish.
        |          .... Jennifer Parrish.

        |      ... Robert Logan Hall, Jr.  
        |   c. George William Hall, born November 10, 1910.                   
        |   d. infant daughter, stillborn June 7, 1915, buried at Evergreen   
        |      Cemetery, Southgate, Kentucky (Section 8, grave 235).           
        |   e. John Edward Hall, born July 2, 1916.                            
        |2. Mary Bell Hall, born February 9, 1885 at Shepherdsville (Bullit  
        |   County), Kentucky.  Mary never married.                          
        |3. Joseph Warren Hall, Jr., born April 18, 1887 at Vine Grove       
        |   (Hardin County), Kentucky.  Joe Jr. married Harriet.
        |   Joe Jr. was a representative for the Burroughs-Wellcome
        |   Pharmaceutical Company in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.             
        |   perhaps known as Jack Hall who died                           
        |   July 2, 1991(?) and was cremated in Dayton, Ohio.             
        |   Died without issue.                                           
        |From Joseph Warren Hall's second marriage to Georgia Anna Allen    
        |(born August 26, 1869 near Hardinsburg (Breckenridge County),      
        | Kentucky and died January 5, 1906), the following four children   
        | were born:                                                             
        |4. Bertie Bliss Hall, married Tom Callahan, lived in Portland,      
        |   Maine, Louisville, Kentucky, and Miami, Florida.  Played the  
        |   piano on a yacht belonging to a U.S. President.  Bertie was
        |   a life member of the Muscian's Guild.       
        |   Bertie was born May 22, 1889 at Big Clifty (Grayson County),  
        |   Kentucky near Litchfield (spelling may not be correct for     
        |   Litchfield). Bertie died October 13, 1981 at age 92
        |   at the Freeport Convalescent Home in Freeport, Maine - 
        |   funeral arrangements were handled by the Tully Funeral Home in
        |   Portland, Maine - the funeral was at the Immaculate Conception 
        |   Church in Portland, Maine.  Bertie is buried in the Calvary   
        |   Cemetery in Portland, Maine.  Bertie and Tom had no children.
        |   Most of the information about Bertie was furnished by Betty
        |   Rehm (Susan Irene Hall Ginocchio's daughter) from the diary of
        |   of Betty's father, Frank Salvini Ginocchio.
        |5. Lorena W. Hall, married a Lindeman and lived in San Francisco,   
        |   California.                                                      
        |6. Robert Harold Hall, born March 14, 1896, was in France during World War I.  
        |   Robert married Dorothy __________, who is still living (1992) and resides at 
        |   4005 Wilma Court, Cincinnati, Ohio 45245. Robert died February 1965. 
        |   Robert's obituary in The Pittsburg Headlight(Pittsburg Kansas)
        |   Friday Feb 26, 1965 states:
        |   Hall Burial - Funeral services for Robert H. Hall, 68, resident of Frontenac, 
        |   who died Wednesday, were held today in the Frontenac Methodist church,                    
        |   Rev. John ? Campbell was in charge.  Burial was in the National cemetery 
        |   in Fort Scott. The Friskel funeral home was in charge of arrangements. 
        |7. Susan Irene Hall, married Frank Salvini Ginocchio.               
        |   Susan was born October 3, 1899 in Danville, Kentucky and died    
        |   of cancer July 7, 1979 in Lexington, Kentucky.                   
        |   Frank Ginocchio was an attorney at law in Lexington, Kentucky.   
        |   Susan and Frank had the following daughter:                      
        |   a. Elizabeth "Betty" Anne Ginocchio who married a Nave. 
        |      Their children are: 
        |      ... Susan Nave, married a Carey; lives in Lexington, Kentucky.
        |          They have the following children:                         
        |          .... Michael P. Carey, Lexington, Kentucky                
        |          .... Peter G. Carey, Lexington, Kentucky                  
        |      ... Nancy C. Nave, lives in Versailles, Kentucky              
        |      ... Elizabeth A. Nave, lives in Versailles, Kentucky          
        |      ... Sally Nave, married a Weisenberger; lives in Scott County,
        |          Kentucky.                                                 
        |          They have the following children:                         
        |          .... Phillip J. Weisenberger, Scott County, Kentucky      
        |          .... Matthew C. Weisenberger, Scott County, Kentucky      
        |          .... Amy Hall Weisenberger, Scott County, Kentucky 
        |      Betty Anne Ginocchio later married Paul Rehm.  Betty and
        |      Paul reside (2000) at 175 Elm Street in Versailles, Kentucky.        
        |During J.W. Hall's marriage to Sarah (Sallie) Anglin, the following 
        |three children were born:                                                
        |8. Thomas Anglin Hall, born January 1, 1908 in Berea, Kentucky;
        |   died July 11, 1965 in Las Vegas, New Mexico; never married. 
        |   Thomas is buried in an unmarked grave in the one of the cemeteries
        |   on the property belonging to the Meadows Home for the Aged, later
        |   part of the Las Vegas Medical Center in Las Vegas, New Mexico.        
        |9. John McBeath Hall, born March 28, 1910 in Berea, Kentucky;
        |   died August 2, 1950 in Cynthiana, Kentucky; never married. 
        |   John is buried at the Hillcrest Cemetery in Lexington, Kentucky -
        |   same row as his mother but closer to the road - no tombstone.     
        |10.Harry Titian Hall, born April 15, 1912 in Berea, Kentucky, Madison     
        |   County as the Titanic was sinking; died January 9, 1980 in    
        |   Lexington, Kentucky.  He is buried in the Hillcrest Cemetery on 
        |   Versailles Road in Lexington, Kentucky across the path from     
        |   where his mother, Sallie Anglin Hall who died in 1944, is       
        |   buried.  Harry Titian Hall married Jessie Spicer, daughter of   
        |   Edward "Ned" Spicer and Nannie Spicer of Breathitt County       
        |   Kentucky.  Harry Titian Hall and Jessie Spicer had the          
        |   following children:                                             
        |   a. Sarah Nancy Hall, born August 27, 1945 in Lexington, Kentucky.         |                                              
        |   b. Lloyd Green Hall, born August 17, 1947, in Lexington, Kentucky; 
        |      died June 19, 1983 in Lexington, Kentucky; 
        |      buried in the Spicer Cemetery on Canoe Road  
        |      in Jackson, Kentucky (Breathitt County).     
        |   c. Harry Edward Hall, born December 3, 1949 in Lexington, Kentucky,
        |      married Valerie Lee Merriman (daughter of Ronald Francis        
        |      Merriman and Joan Royce).  
        |   d. Wayne Thomas Hall, born September 11, 1955 in Lexington, Ky.

        B.  Rachel Buster Hall, born September 17, 1857 in Wayne County,
            Kentucky, died November 17, 1872 at the age of 15 years, 2 months.
        C.  Temira Ellen Hall, born May 14, 1859 in Wayne County, Kentucky;
            died May 14, 1859, the day she was born; buried at Bethesda
            Cemetery, Wayne County, Kentucky.
        D.  Walter Dunlap Hall, born July 7, 1860 in Wayne County, Kentucky;
            died October 29, 1903 near Boston, Kentucky in Nelson County and
            is buried near there.

        |Walter Dunlap Hall married Frances "Fanny" Moriah Burchell,        
        |December 26, 1886.  They had the following children:               
        |1. Charles Heizer "Harry" Hall, of Danville, Kentucky, died at age 50 in 
        |   Masoula, Montana.                                          
        |2. Myrtle Irene Hall, married J. A. Brooks, lived in Nicholasville, Ky.   
        |   and had eight children.        
        |   Per a conversation with Don Basinger and Jeff Scott on 11/16/2001, I
        |   discovered the names of Myrtle and J. A. Brooks' children:
        |   a. Louise  
        |   b. Gladys
        |   c. Billy             
        |   d. Dorothy
        |   e. Jeanette
        |   f. Grace who is the mother of Jeff Scott who lives in Jesamine County, Kentucky.      
        |   g. Walter Brooks whose widow, Jane Brooks, currently (2000) resides 
        |      in Versailles, Kentucky.      
        |      ...  John Brooks. 
        |   h. Jane Brooks who married Don Basinger.
        |      Don and Jane Basinger currently (2000) reside in Bountiful, Utah.    
        |      Jane is the baby of the family of eight children.   
        |3. Annie Laurie Hall, married Joe Will Rout, resided in Houstonville, Ky.                                   
        |4. Olive Belle Hall, born 1895, died 1998.                          
        |   Belle married James Corwin Stephenson, born 1890, died 1955.     
        |   Belle and James had the following six children:                  
        |   a. Margaret Irene Stephenson, born 1916, 
        |      married George Whitaker Griffiths (born 1919, died 1997).                                  |                          
        |      Belle and Irene resided at 525 Cardinal Terrace, Danville,
        |      Kentucky 40422 during the 1990s. 
        |      Margaret and George had the following two children:
        |      ... James Wayne Griffiths, born 1947,
        |          married first Audrey Bouton (born 1947),
        |          married second Sandra Harp.
        |      ... Gary Warren Griffiths, born 1949,
        |          married Judy Loy (born 1949).                          
        |   b. Virginia Hall Stephenson, born 1919, 
        |      married Charles Edward Bicknell (born 1918, died 1985).
        |      Virginia and Charles had the following child:
        |      ... Rebecca Anne Bicknell, born 1945, 
        |          married John Schooling Jackson, born 1945.
        |   c. James "Steve" Childress Stephenson II, born June 12, 1921; 
        |      married Virgie Mae Lee (born December 2, 1923), 
        |      Steve and Virgie currently (2000) reside at
        |      8317 Perryville Road, Danville, Kentucky 40422.
        |      Steve and Virgie have the following four children:
        |      ... Kimetha Lee Stephenson, born January 23, 1950.
        |          married Charles Falkenburg (born 1943).
        |      ... Barbara Hall Stephenson, born May 24, 1952; married Harold Boyd.

        |          married Nancy Ann Nevel (born 1959).   
        |   d. Anna Belle Stephenson, born 1924, died 1996,
        |      married Vernon Vaughn Knuckles Sr. (born 1918).
        |      Anna and Vernon had the following two children:

        |   e. Gloria May Stephenson, born 1926, died 1966,
        |      married Leslie Woodson (born 1929).

        |          married Bruce Bayer.
        |      ... Anne Leslie Woodson, born 1953,
        |          married first Sam Simpson, married second Charles Jones.

        |   f. Barbara Jeannine Stephenson, born 1929,
        |      married Billy Witt Sharp (born 1936).  
        |      Barbara and Billy had the following two children:
        |      ... Angela McBeath Sharp, born 1964,
        |          married Bruce Owen Jones (born 1965).
        |      ... Mary Witt Sharp, born 1971, married John Baldwin.
        |5.  Walter Fletcher Hall, born August 28, 1901, died 1904.
        |    When little three year old orphaned Walter Fletcher Hall died, the
        |    chickens began squawking and ran in a circle around the house.            
        |The information about Walter Fletcher Hall and the descendents of Olive 
        |Belle Hall and James Corwin Stephenson was provided by Belle's son,
        |Steve Stephenson.

        E.  Robert Clinton Hall, born May 26, 1862 in Wayne County, Kentucky;
            died September 11, 1889 in Leitchfield, Kentucky of typhoid fever
            at the age of 27 years, 3 months, 16 days.
        |   Robert Clinton Hall is buried near Boston (Nelson County), Ky.   
        F.  Joshua Shrewsbury Hall, born December 11, 1864 in Wayne County,
            Kentucky; died May 7, 1949 in Spurlington, Kentucky at the age of
            84 years, 7 months, 4 days. Married, first, Georgie Ann Spurling;
            second, Lizzie Catherine Brockman.

        |Joshua Shrewsbury Hall worked with the L&N railroad and was a   
        |Representative for the Kentucky General Assembly from 1916-1919 and
        |again 1934-1935.  
        |He was postmaster for Spurlington, Kentucky in Taylor County.  His 
        |home, which was built about 1917, is still standing on Spurlington 
        |Road in Taylor County.  He is buried in the Spurlington Cemetery on
        |Spurlington Road beside the Methodist Church.                      
        |                                                                   
        |Joshua Shrewsbury Hall had the following children:                 
        |1. Herbert C. Hall, married Ruby Hill in September 1917 and had four
        |   children.  Herbert was stationed in France during World War I.
        |   Herbert lived in Denver, Colorado.
        |   a. Jack who married four times and had two daughters by his first   
        |      marriage.

        |2. Carrie L. Hall, married Tyler Wright who died in a car wreck.                          
        |   Carrie died when her home exploded in 1989.                
        |3. Lela F. Hall, born August 30, 1899, died February 29, 1992,                          
        |   married a Tucker. 
        |   a.  Josephine Tucker married Robert Sloss.                
        |       Josephine currently (1992) resides at
        |       17 VillaWood Lane, Webster Groves, Mississippi.         
        |4. Brent Kennard Hall, born April 17, 1902 in Green County, Kentucky 
        |   married Nettie Murray Hall from Tennessee when she was 35. 
        |   Brent died October 19, 1971 and is buried in Campbellsville
        |   Memorial Gardens, Section 28A, in Taylor County.  Brent and 
        |   Nettie had no children.

        G.  Sally Wenona Hall, born October 15, 1866 in Wayne County, Ky.;
            died March 22, 1891 in Boston, Kentucky at the age of 24 years,
            5 months, 7 days. "Wenona" may be spelled "Weona".
        H.  Eulysos Grant Hall, born March 4, 1868 in Wayne County, Kentucky; 
            died March 5, 1868, one day old; buried at Bethesda Cemetery in
            Wayne County, Kentucky. "Eulysos" may be spelled Eulysus".
        I.  Fanny Belle Hall, born January 24, 1873 in Wayne County, Kentucky
            died September 19, 1888 near Boston (Nelson County), Kentucky 
            at the age of 15 years. 7 months, 26 days.
